Kristine Himmerick, PhD

Kristine Himmerick is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco. She has researched, published, and lectured on a broad range of health care subjects including health services research, interprofessional education, clinical decision making, and a variety of clinical medicine topics. Her dissertation research explored the distribution of the Physician Assistant and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse workforce in California’s community health clinics. Kristine is currently a co-investigator on a number of projects including an evaluation of teaching health centers in California and a national study of the medical laboratory workforce. Previously, she worked as a Primary Care Physician Assistant and a PA educator. She holds a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa and a PhD from the Nursing Science and Health Care Leadership program at the University of California Davis.
