The California Improvement Network (CIN) is a community of health care professionals committed to identifying and spreading ideas for better primary care delivery. As part of a learning and action network, CIN members are continuously engaged in creating change to improve health care delivery. This 2.5-hour workshop with help participants develop skills to advocate for change within their teams, organizations, and communities.
Intend Health Strategies will teach participants a framework for catalyzing and implementing change on the interpersonal, organizational, and systemic levels. Participants will also explore Narrative Leadership, a method for uncovering and conveying the vision, values, and meaning that bring advocacy efforts to life.
This workshop is free and open to CIN members and partners, and is intended for leaders, support and administrative staff, and medical and allied health care providers. Attendees are invited to actively participate in reflection, discussion, and small-group activities.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Understand both technical and relational strategies for change making
- Make connections between their leadership skills and the components of the Changemaker’s Cycle
- Understand the role storytelling can play in advocacy and change initiatives
