Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) programming is central to creating an inclusive organizational culture and spaces where community members can feel part of health and social service organizations.

The California Improvement Network (CIN) is offering two workshops, led by Jess Chacón from J. Chacón Consulting, exploring effective practices for key phases of DEIB work, whether it’s clarifying vision, deciding which results to collect and share, or creating a compelling narrative that highlights the impact of organizational DEIB efforts.

The second workshop will focus on helping organizations develop a compelling narrative that best highlights their organization DEIB efforts and the impact on communities served. (The first workshop will focus on clarifying vision and considering the type of information that will showcase DEIB results.)

Join us for one or both workshops, depending on your organization’s current focus and efforts. These events are offered free of charge and will not be recorded.

Who should attend this workshop:

  • Leaders of organizations, departments, teams, and projects
  • Staff leading DEIB efforts
  • Staff who are doing community-facing work

At the end of this first workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a compelling narrative that best highlights their organization DEIB efforts
  • Implement the narrative to communicate results of their DEIB efforts in their context

Past participants overwhelmingly indicate CIN programming to be a worthwhile use of their time. See recordings of recent past CIN events.
