Rebecca Hargreaves, MPP,  is deputy director of Healthforce Center at UCSF, where she is responsible for the development of new programs and initiatives that advance Healthforce Center’s mission to equip health organizations with the knowledge, skills, and connections to effect positive change. Ms. Hargreaves is a member of Healthforce Center’s leadership team, leads strategy and business development, and provides oversight for the organization’s financial, administrative, and marketing functions. She directs the California Improvement Network and leads sessions for Healthforce Center’s leadership development and capacity-building programs.

Ms. Hargreaves has over 15 years of experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to develop and design new programs and networks, strengthen existing initiatives, and evaluate impact. She has deep experience in strategic planning and convening thought leaders to connect, create, and advance initiatives. Previously, Ms. Hargreaves was a consultant specializing in health care human capital, leadership development, and workforce development, strategy, and planning. She served as a senior consultant with Health Workforce Solutions LLC, as a senior consultant in the strategy and operations practice of Deloitte Consulting, and as an investment banking analyst with SG Cowen Securities (now Cowen Inc.). 

Ms. Hargreaves received her master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
