Margaret Fix, MPH
Margaret joined UCSF as a research analyst in 2011. She has been involved in a multitude of health services research studies and evaluation projects. She has worked on studies examining the supply and demand in the health care workforce, including the geographic and racial maldistribution. Recently, she has performed data analysis for projects that focus on teen contraceptives, binge drinking, and breastfeeding education.
Margaret also serves on the UCSF team for the California Health Benefits Review Program (CHBRP) and provides the medical effectiveness impact analyses of health insurance legislation for the California State Legislature. She has co-authored the medical effectiveness impact sections of more than 20 CHBRP reports on topics such as telehealth, autism, behavioral health care, and abuse-deterrent opioids. Margaret received her MPH from the University of California, Davis.
