Sofia Sandoval is a project policy analyst at Healthforce Center at UCSF. As part of her work, she collects and analyzes data from nursing homes on dementia care training as well as develops focus groups to better understand these trainings in practice.

Born in El Salvador and raised in San Francisco, she witnessed the various health needs of Latinx immigrant communities and other underrepresented groups, which inspired her to pursue an education in public health.

Sandoval graduated from the University of California Merced with a bachelor's degree in public health.
